With lessons learned from COVID-19 as the backdrop, industry strategist and president of Quantum Age, CC Andrews, led a panel discussion on “Leadership in Times of Crisis” at the Long-Term Care & Senior Living CXO Summit, June 3-4, in San Diego.

COVID-19 presented the ultimate test of leadership at every level. While basic management principles suggest the critical need for a crisis plan, nothing could have prepared providers for the challenges faced during the pandemic. Topics addressed included maintaining effective operations through staff and supply shortages, employing internal and external communications to allay fears, and managing census to maintain operational efficiency.

The executive panel shared their perspectives, approaches and lessons learned as they lead the way to a “new normal.” Panelists included Robert Choi, CEO, Caraday Healthcare; Mike Robbins, Operating Partner, Gables Senior Living; and Loren B. Shook, President, CEO & Chairman, Silverado.

Sponsored by Marcus Evans, the invitation-only event brings together leading LTC executives. The summit is aligned with key senior living challenges and interests, relevant market developments, and practical and progressive ideas and strategies adopted by successful pioneers.
